Women in Hospitality Luncheon hosted by Lavanya Mahate on March 2, 2020

Lavanya Mahate, owner of Saffron Valley Restaurants & Catering, is hosting a complimentary luncheon for local women in hospitality at Saffron Circle—our Riverton location in Mountain View Village—on March 2, 2020 from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm.

The purpose of this event is to elevate and connect up to 30 local women thriving in the male dominated field of hospitality in honor of National Women’s History Month and International Women’s Day.

“As a woman and an immigrant with 10 years in the restaurant industry, I’m hosting this luncheon to recognize and celebrate other women in the hospitality business,” said Mahate. “We will enjoy great Indian food, an inspirational speaker, and some really fun networking and conversation.”

The guest speaker is Mary Crafts, founder of Culinary Crafts, who will talk about living a fearless life in the midst of career and home life. She’s a badass woman with purpose, grace and grit and she has a message you need to hear!

Other confirmed guests so far include Michele Corigliano, Executive Director of the Salt Lake Area Restaurant Association and Julie Cullen, the Managing Director of Partner Development of Visit Salt Lake. 

Successful women working in lodging, food & beverage, recreation, travel or tourism are encouraged to RSVP by Friday, February 28, 2020. A max of 30 seats are available.
