Korma Masala

korma Masala [kor-ma ma•sa•la] n. a unique spice blend coupled with powdered garlic and ginger used to make a wholesome curry base for vegetable and meat curries; can be used as a marinade or spice rub for fish, poultry and meats. Also use in any recipe that calls for curry powder.

Recipe ideas: Add to soups, pasta sauces, Asian noodles and ground meat for burgers. Combine with oil and baste fish fillets, pork chops or chicken.

Organic Ingredients: garam masala, ginger, garlic, cinnamon, coriander, black pepper, turmeric, coconut, cashew nuts.

Directions for use: Use 1 tbsp of East India Pantry Korma Masala for each pound weight of vegetables, meat, fish or poultry.  Sauté 1 chopped onion in 2 tbsp hot oil. Add required amount of spice blend and 1 chopped tomato and cook till it becomes a pulp. Add meat or vegetables and fry on high heat for 5 mins without letting the mixture stick to the bottom of the pan. Add 1 cup of water, salt to taste and allow to simmer until meat is tender. Add two tbsp creamed coconut or half a cup of coconut milk and let simmer for 5 more mins. Garnish with chopped cilantro.
