East India Pantry Culinary Classes promise to initiate you to the joys of Indian cooking in a fun, innovative style where the joy and art of cooking is given centre stage. You’ll learn more than just following a recipe…you’ll learn the subtle identities of ingredients, nifty tricks in technique and delicate whiffs that are the hallmarks of a specific style or regional cuisine. Our classes are more than about putting a meal on the table. They’re about exploring the pleasure inherent in the process.
Carefully designed menus are set for each class with Lavanya and her guest chefs talking you through all the courses followed by lunch/dinner. The three hour long class is a hands-on journey with sumptuous dishes such as Tandoori chicken Royale with mint and coriander chutney, mildly spiced crab cakes with rice pilaf, shrimp curry, rice pudding with cardamom to name a few.
Make an outing of our classes with your cooking buddies, your better-half, your teenager or just come on your own. Either way East India Pantry promises you an engaging afternoon with food. Cooking tips from an authentic Indian teacher are an added bonus!
